What do we do here?

All sites offer activities in the following core program areas:
-Education and career development (includes tuturing and homework assistance)
-Leadership and community service
-Health and lifeskills
-The arts
-Sports and recreation
-Technology

Age-Appropriate Programming

All sites provide age-appropriate programming to older and younger youth in separate program areas (where applicable). Elementary school kids are part of the Junior Program.  The Senior Program serves middle school students.  High School Students may participate in the Senior Program at the discretion of the director, or they may choose the Drop-In Program.

Fun, affordable and high-quality

The Concord Boy & Girls Club provides affordable, high-impact afterschool services to kids from the age of six through high school.

Our service sites are located in Concord, Hopkinton, Suncook and Warner.  We transport children from school to service sites; parents are required to pick children up with the exception of  a late bus that runs from Bradley Street to various neighborhoods.

We offer generous scholarships.  For 2013, afterschool program fees range from $5 to $65 per week.  Vacation weeks cost an additional $40. (You'll find more information about fees in the "How to Join" section.)

Junior Program

Led by dynamic counselors dedicated to helping members get the best out of their after school experience, participants will enjoy extended, small group programs and day-to-day activities in the five core program areas, including homework assistance and supervised recreational activities.

Senior Program

Geared towards the needs of adolescents, with an emphasis on teamwork, leadership development, positive risk-taking, making healthy choices, and learning new skills, this program includes both extended, small group programs and day-to-day activities in our five core program areas, as well as homework assistance and supervised recreational activities.

Drop In Program

We encourage older teens to participate  in our senior program, junior staff program, basketball leagues  or community service activites, but we remain a safe place where teens can  simply relax after school or in the evenings in supervised, designated  areas.

Staff Qualifications and Ratios

Picture
The State of New Hampshire Childcare Licensing Bureau stipulates no more than a 15:1 member to staff ratio.   Site Directors and Group Leaders are required to have a certain amount of education, experience and training.  Although the Bradley Street facility is the only fully licensed program site, we try as much as possible to follow licensing guidelines at all of our sites.  All of our sites maintain a maximum 15:1 member to staff ratio.
